Alpacas belong to the camelid family and are closely related to llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos. They naturally live in herds and feel best in a calm, social group.
There are two types of alpacas: Huacaya and Suri.
Huacayas have a soft, woolly fleece with volume, while Suris have a longer, silky fleece that falls in locks.
